Share Article

Just like what they have done previously for Halloween and Christmas, Pokémon Go is going big this Easter with an egg-citing event that will allow you to hatch rare Pokémon from eggs from 4am (Singapore time), 14 April to 4am (Singapore time), 20 April 2017. Folks who have not switched on their game for a while may want to update your app to take part in the Pokémon Egg hunt. You know you are on the right track when you see Niantic’s latest Onix safety reminder. Let’s check out what’s in store for you this Easter!

1. Double The XP

Whatever you do on Pokemon Go during this period will get you double XP. It is that simple. This would be great news for aspiring trainers who are struggling to level up. There is no better time to get back into action.

2. Hatch Rare Pokémon

There will be an increased variety of Pokémon to be found in 2km eggs during the event. It is also said that super rare Pokemon such as Lapras and Snorlax would be more easily obtainable from 2KM eggs. However, we are not sure if that applies to ALL 10KM egg Pokemon.

3. More Candies For Everyone

4. 50% Discount For Lucky Egg

Shopaholics will be thrilled to know that Lucky Egg items are going for half their usual price in the game’s shop. This is a good deal considering how rare these eggs are found in the wild. There is never a better time to stockpile those eggs.

5. Earn 4 Times Your Usual XP

Smart folks who put Point 1 and Point 4 together will realise that you have the chance to quadruple your XP using Lucky Eggs during the festive double XP period. May you attain Level 40 during the event!

6.  Potential Chance For Another Shiny Pokémon

There are rumours that Niantic has plans to release a new Shiny Pokémon during the event, however, it’s not known which one at the moment. There may also the chance that Niantic could add a temporary mechanic to the game to allow you to hatch a shiny Pokémon.

We hope you find the above information useful. Do share your comments and recommendations on how fellow trainers can milk Easter to the max!
