The fourth edition of Gardens By The Bay Christmas Wonderland 2017, Singapore’s biggest annual yuletide fair promises to feed your senses with bigger, brighter and more magical experiences. From 1 to 26 December 2017, look forward to skating under the stars, explore Asia’s biggest Santa’s Grotto, watch the Asian debut of Circus Abyssinia, taste a tantalising festive spread and be wowed by Southeast Asia’s tallest Italian luminarie light sculpture! With just days to the opening weekend of Christmas Wonderland 2017 Singapore, we are here to share more of the highly anticipated details of the fairground’s dining delights, live entertainment and shopping treats!
For the first time, free Festive Workshops will be conducted at the all-new Mistletoe Alley located within the Supertree Grove for you and your loved ones to create unique mementos to bring home. Choose from paper sculpting, assembling a terrarium, textile printing or making customised body scrubs as a one-of-a-kind gift. Seats are limited, so make sure you sign up for them in advance through www.christmaswonderland.sg.
You can pick up unique gifts this festive season such as exquisite hand-painted musical carousels from Whimsical Fantasies, artisanal tea blends with inspirational quotes from Collaboration Tea or pretty porcelain pieces from Om Sweet Om at the Mistletoe Alley.
Over at the traditional European-style wooden huts, some of the highlights include hand-made jewellery from BOLD & CRAFT and Bacteria Secret, minimalist watches from Plain Supplies, quirky do-it-yourself gifts from Blue Stone, Christmas ornaments from Operation Honey and Cindy’s Collection as well as home décor items from Propupstore.
After working up an appetite from shopping, pamper the palate with a wide array of culinary options, ranging from Christmas classics to novel bites. They include Glow in the Dark Candy Floss by Swagpotion, gooey Raclette cheese from The Raclette Factory, fluffy mini pancakes from The Dutch Pancake Store, Gourmet Meatballs served with Cranberry Sauce and Jingle Bell Mocktail by Sofnade, Mentaiko Quail eggs by new pop-up concept Easy Eggs by JAR and Smoked Turkey Drumstick by The Beast.
For an elevated dining experience, head to SAVOUR’s Gourmet Village at The Meadow. Diners can look forward to indulging in celebrity chef creations from $6 including Foie Gras Magnum from Saint Pierre, Braised Pork Belly with Creamy Polenta from Audace, Crispy Boxing Chicken with Sriracha mayo from Bee’s Knees, Crab Arancini with Arrabiata from MONTI, Southern-styled treats from Meat Smith, Hamachi from Shoukouwa and a special Christmas burger from Wildseed. You and your loved ones can choose to dine alfresco under the twinkling lights or in an air-conditioned Snow Globe, a first at Christmas Wonderland.
Choose from over 130 types of wines around the world such as USA, France, South Africa, Japan, Spain and New Zealand at the Finest Wine Market for your Christmas parties. Popular wine labels including Beringer, Nedeburg, Moet & Chandon, Vina Maipo from wine suppliers such as FairPrice Finest and Tesco Finest will be available for sale, with samplings on selected wines at each booth.
At the Supertree Grove, you and your family can look forward to being entertained by Christmas carols and live performances by local artistes at the Cassa Armonica, experience “snowfall” at the majestic Spalliera during Blizzard Time or sing along to a medley of your favourite festive tunes with the Garden Rhapsody: Christmas Edition light show.
The Meadow will also feature Singapore’s largest outdoor synthetic ice skating rink as well as performances by the acclaimed Circus Abyssinia from Ethiopia, making their Asian debut in Singapore. Two sessions to the popular Circus Abyssinia Present Ethiopian Dreams are already sold out with admission tickets to 16 sessions selling fast.
Christmas Wonderland will be held from 1 to 26 December 2017 between 4pm to 11pm daily. Admission to the event starts from S$4, providing access to a myriad of attractions across the 57,000sqm fairground. Access to the Festive Market, SAVOUR and Festive Entertainment are included with admission tickets to the event. Additional charges for some attractions within the event grounds will apply.
