If there’s one name to know in Singapore’s Central Business District this month, it’s American Mass Hall. Launched by culinary veteran Chef Heman Tan, this brand-new eatery in the heart of Tanjong Pagar blends bold American classics with Asian flair—all in a warm, modern space that transitions seamlessly from corporate lunch to spirited evening hangout. From smoked short ribs to plant-based shakshouka and cempedak crème brûlée, American Mass Hall is not here to play it safe—it’s here to serve up flavour, fun, and a whole new reason to stay out late on a Monday.
Chef Heman Tan, affectionately dubbed Singapore’s “Ironman Chef,” brings decades of culinary experience back to the fore as co-owner and lead creative behind this concept. His training in the UK and passion for performance-driven food is evident throughout the menu. Think classics done right, but reimagined with an edge that speaks to today’s taste buds—comforting, clever, and conscious.
Start with the Cajun Blackened Barramundi, a perfectly spiced fillet that balances charred edges with tender, flaky meat. Or dive into a showstopper: the 120-day Grain Fed Angus Beef Short Ribs, smoked tableside for maximum sensory impact. The “Bone drop” BBQ Iberico Prime Ribs are just as unforgettable—served with crunchy coleslaw and tangy pineapple salsa for that sweet, smoky finish.
Prefer your proteins more continental? The New York Strip and Ribeye steaks, both grain-fed Australian Black Angus, deliver seared-to-perfection satisfaction. Pair with a glass of wine or a frosty Heineken from the 3L tower for best effect.
From 11am to 2pm on weekdays, American Mass Hall rolls out a deal that’s hard to beat. For just $12.90++, diners get a soup, a choice of hearty mains—like Fish & Chips or Chicken Chop—and a sweet dessert or coffee to close. Designed to satisfy without the post-lunch slump, this executive lunch is already turning heads (and calendars).
Diversity is baked into the menu. Vegetarians can tuck into the Grilled Impossible Shakshouka or the Impossible Beef Burger. For those leaning into indulgence, the Beef Lasagne Al Forno or Spaghetti Prawn Aglio Olio offers comfort without compromise. And don’t miss the Burrata Lava Cheesy Wonderland Lovers Pizza—yes, that’s a real name and yes, it lives up to the hype.
Save room for dessert—the Crème Brulee Cempedak brings tropical flair to a French classic, while the Deconstructed Apple Crumble and Tiramisu hold their own with elegance. It’s the kind of ending that doesn’t overstay its welcome, but leaves you thinking about your next visit.
Once the workday wraps, Happy Hour begins—and it’s no half-hearted affair. From 2pm to 7pm daily, gather your crew and pour out a 3L tower of Heineken ($73++) or Erdinger ($65++). Draft pints of Guinness, Heineken or Erdinger go for just $10++ for a generous 500ml glass. Whether you’re raising a toast to a deal closed or a deadline survived, the bar here makes every hour a celebration.
Located at 2 Mistri Road, #01-01 Lumiere, American Mass Hall is open daily from 11am to 10pm, including public holidays. For reservations, call +65 9743 0116 or email rsvp1@americanmasshall.com.
