Guided by the brand’s Wellness Designed by Destination philosophy, the resort draws inspiration directly from Bali itself. Local traditions, natural surroundings and a sense of balance are woven into the experience, giving you space to reconnect with yourself, with those you travel with, and with the quieter pulse of the island. The approach is built on simplicity and ease, allowing you to define wellbeing in your own way.

492 Suites Framed by Ocean and Gardens

The resort features 492 luxury suites, including seven private garden villas, set across lush tropical grounds overlooking the Indian Ocean. Four pools, eight dining venues and three bars are integrated into the landscape, creating a sense of choice without crowding, privacy without isolation. The design balances open spaces and intimate corners, so you can shift between solitude and sociability as the day unfolds.

This is luxury all-inclusive travel reimagined around flexibility. Your stay includes accommodation, dining across all restaurants, daily poolside snacks, 24-hour room service, and a mini bar replenished daily with select beverages. A range of premium alcoholic drinks is available throughout the resort at a discounted rate, allowing you to indulge without needing to manage the details of each order.

    Destination Inclusive Experiences

Staying on an all-inclusive basis also opens access to the Destination Inclusive® program, a signature Paradisus concept that curates experiences shaped by Bali’s culture, natural beauty and way of life. Cultural experiences available to all include the Devan Show at Bali Nusa Dua Theatre, where traditional dance and music showcase Indonesia’s diverse heritage in an immersive performance.

For adults seeking deeper cultural engagement, curated cultural and spiritual activities take you into villages such as Belulang near Mount Batukaru, offering meaningful encounters with local traditions and the surrounding environment. Within the resort, daily in-house activities include Lontar writing and traditional Balinese dance, encouraging balance, relaxation and mindful movement.

Younger travellers are invited to explore Balinese arts and crafts such as Janur, the intricate decorations made from coconut leaves, kite making, and fish and duck feeding. It is an invitation for you and your loved ones to experience culture not just as a performance, but as a participatory experience.

Spaces Designed Around Your Travel Style

Paradisus by Meliá Bali introduces purpose-designed spaces that allow you to shape your stay around how you want to relax, stay active or spend time together. The seven villas, comprising five one-bedroom and two two-bedroom options, offer an elevated private retreat. Each villa features a private pool, outdoor dining area and open-air shower, alongside exclusive amenities including a Balinese rattan bag, sarong, hat and yoga mat.

Villa guests are also invited to experience a bespoke sunset cruise, culminating in a private catamaran dining experience on the ocean. It is a moment designed to feel cinematic, yet entirely your own.

The Reserve offers an adult-only retreat for those aged 16 and above, with dedicated rooms and suites, access to a private beach and pool areas, personalised arrival and departure services, and exclusive dining spaces for a quieter, more secluded stay.

For families, the Family Concierge experience provides spacious suites, in-room amenities, access to an exclusive beach area and a family-friendly restaurant, as well as a dedicated check-in area that includes a children’s playground. • Romantic Nights And Local Bites: Best Restaurants In Ubud For Couples

Romantic Nights And Local Bites: Best Restaurants In Ubud For Couples

When date night rolls around, there’s nothing like sharing a good meal with a great view, especially in Ubud, where the scenery does half the flirting for you. Whether you’re on a honeymoon, anniversary dinner, or just vibing with someone new, Ubud has plenty of restaurants that bring the right mix of atmosphere and great food. This guide highlights some of the best restaurants ubud where couples can relax, chat, and enjoy a meal that feels just a little more special than your average dinner out.

    1. Indus Restaurant

Indus sits on the edge of a hill with a view of the valley below, so you get a nice breeze and a peaceful feeling, even if you’ve had a long day of walking. It’s a casual place, featuring a classic Balinese aesthetic: an open space, carved wood, and an abundance of greenery. Perfect for a relaxed dinner without too much fuss.

As one of the top restaurants in Ubud, Indus offers Indonesian dishes with a creative, modern touch. The beef rendang and jackfruit curry are BEST, and the small-plate menu is great if you like trying a few different things. If the conversation ever stalls, the view usually does the trick.

    2. The Sayan House

If you’re into places that are a bit more fancy, The Sayan House is a good choice. It’s located near a jungle gorge, but don’t worry, no hiking required! The setting feels quiet and private, and the design is a mix of modern and tropical. It’s the kind of place that makes dinner feel like a getaway, but without the stiff, fancy vibe.

The food here blends Japanese and Latin, and it’s not as weird as it sounds — sushi and tacos somehow get along really well. Their wagyu nigiri and crab taco are fun to share, and the drinks are fresh, fruity, and not too sweet. It’s one of the most popular romantic restaurants in Ubud for a reason, indeed.

    3. Hujan Locale

Now, who doesn’t know this one? Hujan Locale has a cozy, lived-in feel, like a stylish home with a great kitchen. If you know, you know. The space is warm and welcoming, filled with wooden details and patterned tiles. Great for couples who want something low-key but still thoughtful.

The menu focuses on local flavors done in a creative way. The crispy duck is a crowd favorite, and they’re generous with the sambal — so plan your spice level wisely. As one of the best restaurants in Ubud, Bali, Hujan keeps things interesting, as always. It’s a good balance between comfort food and something a little new.

    4. Moksa Ubud

If you’re both into plant-based eating (or just need a break from deep-fried everything), Moksa is a great spot. It’s tucked in a quiet corner just outside the center, surrounded by gardens and trees. You eat outside, so it feels open and peaceful — no loud music, no stress.

This is where you go for fresh, healthy Bali food that still tastes satisfying. The jackfruit burger and raw lasagna are surprisingly filling, and, oh, their desserts don’t feel like a second thought. Here’s the most interesting part: they grow most of the ingredients on-site, so you can feel extra wholesome while sipping on your kombucha!

    5. Donna Ubud

Donna is for when you want a night out that feels a bit more lively. The lights are dim, the music is soft (or live, depending on the night), and the vibe is stylish without being over the top. It’s one of those places that works for both early dinners and late-night drinks — depending on how the night goes.

The menu is Mediterranean, with a mix of tapas and main dishes. Try the truffle croquettes or the grilled octopus — they’re both great for sharing. It’s one of those places that shows up a lot when people ask where to eat in Ubud, and for good reason. Oh, this is important to tell: the cocktails are well-made, whether you’re into classics or something new.

    6. Melali Ubud

Melali is one of those spots you hear about through a friend or stumble upon when you’re not even looking. I mean, it’s calm, simple, and surrounded by tropical plants. Nothing too fancy, but still special enough to feel like a date night.

The food is straightforward but good. From lemongrass chicken, grilled fish, and colorful rice bowls. Their smoothies and mocktails are refreshing, too. It’s a great pick if you’re after the best food in Ubud without needing to dress up or plan ahead too much.

    A little bonus tip…

Already planning your next romantic meal outside of Ubud? Great! If you’re heading south, check out some of the best restaurants in Nusa Dua — a great area for beachfront dinners and peaceful sunset views.

  • The Ultimate South Bali Escape: 5 Handpicked Experiences For A Stress-Free Adventure

The Ultimate South Bali Escape: 5 Handpicked Experiences For A Stress-Free Adventure

Bali’s traffic can be a challenge when you are trying to navigate the island’s southern coast. You might find yourself wasting precious hours of your holiday stuck in congestion, hopping from one “Instagram-famous” spot to another, only to find crowds and disappointment.

However, by focusing on a curated selection of activities, you can discover a world where cultural depth and high-octane adventure are located within a twenty-minute radius of one another.

This journey is designed for you if you value authenticity. To truly focus on the moments that turn a simple trip into a lifelong memory, consider utilizing a resource that provides locally curated destinations and experiences, such as SatuSatu.

    1. A Morning Masterclass at Nia Cooking Class

Your day starts in Seminyak with a Balinese heritage experience at Nia Cooking Class. The class begins with a guided visit to a traditional market to learn about the exotic spices foundational to the island’s cuisine, offering a sensory glimpse into local life and authentic flavor creation.

In the kitchen, you’ll prepare iconic dishes like Ayam Betutu and Lawar. Designed for beginners, this is a perfect social start before exploring the rugged southern terrain.

    2. Adrenaline Rush at Bukit Sari ATV

Moving further south into the Bukit Peninsula, the landscape shifts to the raw, untamed trails of Pecatu. At Bukit Sari ATV, your morning gives way to a high-energy adventure through limestone cliffs and hidden countryside paths far removed from the beach. The roar of the engines and the thrill of navigating rocky tracks offer a visceral connection to the island’s rugged geography.

Expert local guides ensure that even first-time riders feel empowered as they charge through muddy splashes and authentic village views. The off-road route is far removed from mainstream tourist hubs, offering an exhilarating way to explore the “backyard” of Uluwatu.

    3. Standing Beneath a Giant at GWK Cultural Park

A short drive leads you to the magnificent Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park. It stands as one of the world’s most towering cultural monuments. The park’s towering limestone canyons, especially around the Lotus Pond area, create a cinematic and spacious atmosphere.

    4. Floating Over the Cliffs at Timbis Beach

As the afternoon sun softens, your adventure reaches new heights with paragliding at Timbis Beach. It is a beginner-friendly adventure that combines the thrill of flight with a profound sense of tranquility over the sparkling sea.

Strapped into a tandem harness with a certified pilot, you will soar 200 feet above the Indian Ocean, witnessing breathtaking aerial views of limestone cliffs and hidden beaches.  From this vantage point, the intricate details of Bali’s turquoise coastline become clear. The flight typically lasts 15 to 20 minutes, offering a unique “bucket-list” perspective of the Bukit Peninsula.

    5. Kecak Fire Dance at Uluwatu

Your day concludes at the Uluwatu Temple. Perched on a 70-meter cliff, this ancient site hosts the legendary Kecak Fire Dance as the sun dips below the horizon.

Kecak Fire Dance is a chorus of more than fifty men that creates a hypnotic, rhythmic chant that tells the epic story of the Ramayana without the need for musical instruments.

The Kecak Uluwatu performance reaches its peak during the fire finale, where a dancer in a trance moves through burning coconut husks. The intensity of the chanting and the vastness of the darkening ocean create an unforgettable electric atmosphere.

For unagi lovers, the Unagi & Butter “Box” Oshisushi (SGD 18++) is the perfect choice. With perfectly seasoned sushi rice pressed into a compact, flavorful block topped with a thick luscious slice of unagi glazed with sweet-savoury sauce, each bite offers a refined balance of umami and sweetness. The dish is finished with a melt-in-your-mouth layer of butter, creating a smooth, velvety contrast to the tender eel and the perfectly seasoned rice beneath.

No meal in Korea is complete without fried chicken and at KeonBae, this iconic dish is taken to new heights. KeonBae’s Fried Chicken (K.F.C) brings together the best of flavours and textures. Priced at SGD13++ for 3 pieces or SGD 24++ for 6 pieces, each piece of chicken is carefully sourced from local farms, ensuring premium, sustainably raised poultry that supports the community.

Choose from four irresistible flavours—Original, Spicy, Yangnyeom Glaze, Garlic Soy Glaze—each crafted from KeonBae’s signature marinade of homemade buttermilk and aromatic spices. The chicken is marinated for 24 hours, allowing it to absorb every ounce of flavour while retaining its natural tenderness. The magic lies in KeonBae’s perfected batter—a unique blend of flours and starches that creates an impossibly light, crispy coating.

A meticulous triple frying technique is used to achieve the ultimate balance of crunch and juiciness, ensuring every bite is as crisp and flavorful as the first. The result is fried chicken that’s golden, succulent, and utterly irresistible—an experience you’ll remember long after the last bite.

    Finish Off With Daebak Drinks

Enhance your meal with a diverse selection of drinks carefully crafted to elevate the KeonBae experience. From a variety of highballs—including soju, shochu, and whisky—to expertly crafted cocktails for the more adventurous palate, there’s something to suit both casual drinkers and connoisseurs alike.

For a unique twist, try Me, You, Breakfast? (SGD 15++), inspired by Korea’s love for toast and coffee. This cocktail blends the rich flavours of French toast and maple syrup with decaf espresso and Haku Vodka, creating a perfect harmony of breakfast flavours in a glass. Alternatively, the Plum Honey Shochu Highball (SGD 6.80++) is a refreshing, bold choice that honours Japan’s iconic whiskey highball tradition. Other variations, such as Original or Lemon Sour, are also available to suit a variety of preferences.

Come for the food, stay for the fun—KeonBae is your new go-to destination for flavourful dishes, refreshing drinks, and unforgettable nights.

KeonBae is located at 38 Pekin Street, #01-01, Singapore 048768 and opens on Monday – Thursday (3pm – 11pm), Friday and Saturday 3pm – 2am).

  • The Peninsula Hong Kong Elevates Luxury With Bespoke Bentley Bentayga Fleet

The Peninsula Hong Kong Elevates Luxury With Bespoke Bentley Bentayga Fleet

In keeping with its half-century-long tradition of providing superlative transportation for its guests, The Peninsula Hong Kong recently introduced four bespoke Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) Azure SUVs to its automotive fleet. The new cars join the hotel’s already-legendary collection of exquisite vehicles – which includes 14 Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantoms and a magnificently refurbished 1934 Phantom II.

The arrival of the new vehicles at The Peninsula Hong Kong was greeted in a grand celebration. The handover ceremony at the hotel’s forecourt on 26 November 2024, was held in the presence of The Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie, Non-Executive Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Ltd. (HSH), who received the keys to the new Bentayga EWB Azures from the CEO of Bentley Motors, Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser.

“The acquisition of these vehicles is a truly momentous occasion for The Peninsula,” said Joseph W.Y. Chong, Regional Executive Vice President, Asia, and Managing Director of The Peninsula Hong Kong. “Not only does it align with our legacy of offering the finest available transport to our guests; it also reflects our dedication to providing them with unparalleled experiences at every turn.”

Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bentley Motors commented,  “On behalf of Bentley Motors, it was a pleasure to present these four magnificent bespoke Bentaygas to Sir Michael Kadoorie and The Peninsula Hong Kong. The team of artisans at our Dream Factory in Crewe, England, which individually handcrafted and personalised these cars are rightly proud of the end result, and we are delighted that The Peninsula Hotels continues to adopt Bentleys into their chauffeur fleets.”

A New Generation of Luxury Ride

The automotive collection – which includes the classic Rolls-Royce Phantoms, Bentley Bentaygas, and Toyota Alphards – ensuring that hotel guests experience The Peninsula’s signature elegance and comfort during every part of their journey. Both the Bentley Bentayga EWB Azures and the hotel’s four new bespoke Toyota Alphards epitomise a new generation of extra-spacious and sporty transport for guests of The Peninsula Hong Kong.

The Bentayga EWB Azure is a super SUV whose striking design and expansive interiors offer unparalleled comfort to passengers. The hotel’s vehicles feature custom bodywork in signature Peninsula green, with hushed self-closing extended rear doors, and opulent inner compartments with custom-quilted seat backs, veneered picnic tables, individual entertainment screens, a rear control panel, signature audio systems, and Bentley mood lighting. Bespoke extras include a rear-seat massage function, dual wireless chargers in the front and rear seats, and spacious leather-clad luggage compartments.

The hybrid-electric Toyota Alphards, meanwhile, offer ample and eco-friendly transit for family and executive groups. Each has the capacity to seat 6 passengers and is equipped with a myriad of customised Peninsula extras. A Legacy of Superb Transport

Luxury cars have been associated with The Peninsula Hong Kong since the hotel’s earliest days, when the local Studebaker dealership and showroom were located in the rear of the East Wing. The hotel operated its own taxis for many years, before introducing its very first fleet of 5 Lincoln Continentals, a Ford Galaxie, and a station wagon.

In 1970, as part of its continuous efforts to offer guests the most stylish available transport, the hotel made a momentous purchase: a fleet of 7 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadows. The order was the largest ever placed with Rolls-Royce for a single model, and made headlines all over the world. In ensuing years, The Peninsula subsequently broke its own record several times, each time updating its fleet with new collections of splendidly customised Rolls-Royce sedans.

In 2006, the hotel made Rolls-Royce history once again with its acquisition of the 14 Extended Wheelbase Phantoms that still hold pride of place in its fleet. Each of these cars has been impeccably customised to Peninsula specifications, with interiors finished in rich leather and burled walnut, and thoughtful details like customised tread plates, umbrellas, extra capacious luggage compartments, and cooling boxes for chilled hand towels.

Today, transport in a superb luxury vehicle has become an iconic part of a Peninsula Hong Kong stay. From its elegant 1934 Phantom II Sedanca de Ville to its newest super SUVs, the hotel fleet ensures guests enjoy the quintessential Peninsula experience – even away from the property.
