Chinese New Year arrives at Resorts World Sentosa in 2026 with a sense of colour, movement and playful imagination. From 16 January to 15 March 2026, the integrated resort transforms into a bold festive playground inspired by the spirit of the Horse, blending pop-styled design, immersive installations and lively performances that invite you and your loved ones to explore, reconnect and welcome the new year with curiosity and joy.
Across the resort, iconic spaces such as WEAVE, the Grand Steps and the Lake of Dreams are reimagined through cheerful, pop-influenced interpretations of traditional Chinese New Year symbols. Bright colours, oversized motifs and playful details set the tone for a season that celebrates abundance, momentum and fresh beginnings. As you wander through the resort, each area reveals a different expression of wonder, turning familiar pathways into moments of surprise and discovery.
At WEAVE, the celebrations take on a distinctly interactive character. A towering three metre Prosperity Tree anchors the experience, inviting you to shake for a sure win prize after qualifying spend, while an oversized Tiles of Blessings installation offers joyful photo moments inspired by mahjong symbols of fortune. An interactive cycling installation adds a modern twist, encouraging you to pedal your way towards illuminated festive greetings, blending tradition with playful design.
Throughout the season, live performances animate the resort with energy and warmth. Prosperity Lions Pounce and Play brings a troupe of five colourful lion dance mascots into the heart of the celebrations, their playful interactions capturing the lively spirit of the new year. Roving entertainers and live bands create a festive soundtrack across the resort, adding layers of sound and movement to the visual spectacle.
After dusk, the Lake of Dreams becomes the stage for Lunar Lights A POP SPERITY Show. Flowing lanterns, synchronised lighting and rhythmic performances build towards the dramatic arrival of the Dragon of Good Fortune, creating an evening experience that feels theatrical, celebratory and distinctly memorable.
The festive spirit continues at the Singapore Oceanarium with Spring into Waves of Wonder, running from 30 January to 3 March 2026. Drawing inspiration from the zodiac, the programme highlights the seahorse as a symbol of vitality and resilience. A larger than life POP MART Twinkle Twinkle installation greets you at the entrance, setting the tone for an ocean inspired journey filled with meaning and optimism.
At the Open Ocean Habitat, Waves of Harmony presents a mesmerising underwater dive performance where a dragon dance unfolds beneath the surface. For the first time, two graceful seahorses join the symbolic dragons in a choreographed descent that celebrates unity and gratitude. Complementing this are festive mascot appearances, cultural music performances and informative touchpoints at the Seahorse Habitat that deepen appreciation for marine life.
From 7 February to 3 March 2026, Universal Studios Singapore joins the celebrations with a dynamic Chinese New Year programme that blends cinematic flair with festive tradition. The all new Paws of Prosperity procession features a majestic dragon, precision Kung Fu performers and the Horses of Fortune moving through the park in a vibrant spectacle. Lucky Lunar Reunion brings familiar characters together in a heartwarming show inspired by visiting traditions, followed by photo moments and festive treats that mark the season.
Dining takes centre stage throughout the celebrations, with festive menus curated across Resorts World Sentosa’s signature restaurants. Fengshui Inn leads with refined Cantonese reunion feasts, while Syun presents seasonal omakase experiences that blend Japanese artistry with auspicious symbolism. CHIFA! introduces bold Chinese Peruvian flavours, KA MON celebrates Japanese grilling traditions, and Osia Steak and Seafood Grill offers generous sharing platters for festive gatherings.
For celebrations at home, curated takeaway offerings include prosperity yu sheng, festive cakes and traditional treats, allowing the spirit of abundance to extend beyond the resort.
Resorts World Sentosa’s Chinese New Year 2026 celebrations offer more than decoration or spectacle. They create a season shaped by movement, colour and shared experiences, encouraging you and your loved ones to welcome the Year of the Horse with curiosity, connection and a sense of wonder that lingers long after the festivities end.
