Come 23 July 2025, Singapore will welcome a next-level ocean experience that goes far beyond the glass walls of a typical aquarium. Introducing the RWS Singapore Oceanarium—Resorts World Sentosa’s latest flagship destination that transforms marine discovery into a fully immersive, emotionally powerful journey. As the bold successor to the S.E.A. Aquarium, the new Singapore Oceanarium invites you and your loved ones into a world where science, storytelling, and sustainability converge to ignite curiosity and action.
Three times larger than its predecessor, the Singapore Oceanarium has evolved into a full-fledged marine institute focused on education, conservation, and research. Beyond its awe-inspiring exhibits, it stands as a global platform accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and recognised by world-leading marine institutions. With 22 uniquely themed zones spanning prehistoric oceans to present-day marine life, the oceanarium redefines what it means to connect with the sea—deepening knowledge, love, and action for our planet’s blue heart.
As you begin your journey, the tides of time carry you through Ancient Waters, where life-sized animatronics and living fossils retell the story of early marine evolution. Further in, Ocean Wonders stuns with one of the world’s largest kreisel tanks, filled with thousands of hypnotic moon jellies.
In Singapore’s Coast, mangrove-inspired environments blend interactive habitats with native biodiversity. Witness a dramatic recreation of a Whale Fall—where a whale’s body forms a whole ecosystem on the seafloor—before arriving at the Open Ocean, where manta rays, zebra sharks, and thousands of marine species drift gracefully across a stunning 36-metre viewing panel that blurs the line between visitor and ocean.
What makes the Singapore Oceanarium unique isn’t just its scale—it’s the storytelling. Through multisensory installations, interactive projections, and tactile exhibits, you’re not just observing marine life—you’re understanding it, feeling it, and leaving with a deeper sense of responsibility. Whether you’re tracing the path of migratory species in Migrators or exploring marine sanctuaries in Hallway of Hope, each zone is crafted to inspire action in real life.
Young explorers and families can enjoy highlights like the Spirit of Exploration, where a replica of the Jewel of Muscat—a 9th-century Arabian dhow—makes a majestic return. Just nearby, Pier Adventure offers a thrill ride of its own with a suspended webbed path that gives you an aerial view of the ship and surrounding zones.
Need a break? Recharge at Explorer’s Nook, a marine-themed café offering ocean-inspired bakes and curated keepsakes. Wrap up your visit with a stop at the Singapore Oceanarium Store, a retail space filled with eco-conscious merchandise, marine-themed fashion, and rotating capsule collections by local creators.
Education doesn’t stop at the tanks. Just next door, the Research and Learning Centre powers the Oceanarium’s science mission. Certified as a Green Mark Platinum Zero Energy building, the centre is solar-powered and equipped with learning labs, seminar rooms, and collaborative workspaces. It serves as a hub for partnerships with institutions like National University of Singapore and NTU’s Earth Observatory, supporting marine conservation research, climate resilience studies, and youth outreach.
As Vice President Lam Xue Ying puts it, “We are dedicated to inspiring a new generation of ocean stewards.” The oceanarium’s transformation is purpose-driven—turning wonder into knowledge and knowledge into action. Whether through conservation programmes, immersive learning, or simply walking through its thoughtfully designed habitats, the Singapore Oceanarium empowers every guest to become a protector of our oceans.
The Singapore Oceanarium officially opens on 23 July 2025. Ticketing and programme details will be announced soon on the official Resorts World Sentosa website. Follow @SingaporeOceanarium and @rwsentosa for early access to special previews and family-friendly experiences.
