Some of its signature spots include the North Mountain, with its peak as the highest point in Arendelle; the Ice Palace where Elsa unleashes her icy powers freely for the first time; Arendelle Castle, home of the royal family; the Bay of Arendelle, featuring the small fishing boat that Anna fell on when she met Prince Hans, Clock Tower where Anna danced with Prince Hans; and Friendship Fountain where Elsa uses her magical powers to freeze its water into beautiful snowflake ornamentations.

You can also immerse themselves in the joy of the Summer Snow Day celebration by taking a Frozen Ever After journey to meet Elsa at her Ice Palace that is open to all for the first time, embarking on a wondrous adventure on Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, enjoying a unique interactive play experience with Anna and Elsa at Playhouse in the Woods.

To prepare for the Summer Snow Day celebration, you can immerse in the enchanting festivities with a special outfit. Wear rosemaling patterned clothes, add glittering ice-inspired face paint, and style the hair like Elsa or wear a cape like Anna to show the love for the royal sisters.

No visit to Arendelle would be complete without indulging in its exquisite cuisine and exploring its charming shops, which are deeply rooted in Nordic history and culture. Do not miss Golden Crocus Inn and Bayside Wharf for a taste of local delicacies inspired by traditional Nordic dishes, grab a bite at Forest Fare or sweet treats at Northern Delights.

Hong Kong Easter 2023 – Central

Victoria Peak, otherwise known as The Peak, has always been a must-visit Hong Kong destination for its iconic views and historic funicular railway. But after a major upgrade that was completed last year, The Peak Tram now offers an even more exciting and efficient experience with new, larger-capacity green-coloured tramcars and an array of entertainment zones showcasing the area’s intriguing history and wildlife.

Once at The Peak, be sure to check out Monopoly Dreams, the first Monopoly-themed attraction in the world that features an array of AR and other interactive experiences. Then, make your way to Sky Terrace 428, which at 428m above sea level is the highest viewing platform in Hong Kong. From here the whole family will be wowed by 360-degree panoramic views across the city and harbour, which are impressive morning, noon or night!

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, it’s just a quick tram ride back to Central for a special Easter-themed dining experience. Fans of modern Indian cuisine won’t want to miss Chaiwala’s “SomeBunny Feed Me!” brunch feast (HK$388pp, HK$398pp champagne free-flow, HK$198pp classic free-flow) complete with a trio of chaat for sharing, choice of vegetarian or mutton biryani, a tandoor tower and dosas for sharing, and choice of six curries. A children’s menu is also available for HK$50.

For a taste of innovative Japanese and Peruvian fusion food, head a few blocks north to TokyoLima and its adventurous take on “SomeBunny Feed Me!” (HK$398pp, HK$398pp champagne free-flow, HK$198pp classic free-flow). Designed for sharing, the brunch feast begins with a selection of appetisers including causa and ceviche before moving on to the Weeknd Salad, Edamame Hummus and Pop Ki-Mo-Chi, and finishing with a choice of mains such as chicken katsu with aji panca rice or pan-fried mackerel with potato puree and Nikkei escabeche. Both brunch menus are available 7–10 April 2023 and include an extravagant all-you-can-enjoy chocolate buffet – so be sure to leave some room!

Hong Kong Easter 2023 – Sheung Wan

Close to Central but a world unto its own, Sheung Wan is often referred to as the perfect blend of old and new Hong Kong. Its narrow, winding streets are full of hidden gems and family-friendly activities, with one of our favourites being The Upper Loft indoor golf club. Golf enthusiasts and beginners alike can try their luck at more than 200 international courses through several advanced simulators, or practise their distance shots at the driving bays.

If you’re looking for something to do in the great outdoors, Mount Davis offers an easy and interesting hike dotted with relics of the former headquarters of the Western Fire Command during World War II. The 2.5km (one-way) course follows a paved road on the westernmost hill on Hong Kong Island. Finally, and especially for the little ones, there’s the Children’s Playground at the Central and Western District Promenade. The ship-themed play facility sits right on the harbourfront with views across to Kowloon and offers plenty of space to run, climb, slide and explore.

Sheung Wan is also a hotbed of creative cuisine, with three unique Pirata Group outlets. TMK Punk & Rolls is a lively and fun temakeria that swears by the motto of living life the fun way. This Easter, TMK celebrates with an Easter Free-flow Maki Brunch (HK$248pp, HK$150pp extra for 90 min free-flow beer and sake) with four sharing starters, two temakis and a variety of free-flow maki, followed by signature dishes like kimchi pancake and tuna hotdog, and a choice of dessert between Easter monaka or caramel fried banana.

Modern Japanese eatery Honjo, meanwhile, is welcoming guests to a seafood-loaded “SomeBunny Feed Me!” brunch feast (HK$498pp, HK$398pp champagne free-flow, HK$198pp classic free-flow, kids under 12 eat free) complete with an all-you-can-eat chocolate dessert station. Menu highlights include unlimited sushi and sashimi, starters of fried chicken and wagyu, and main courses of tempura, marinated flank steak and salmon teriyaki.

Roasted and grilled meat specialist Meats has also put its own spin on “SomeBunny Feed Me!” (HK$498pp, HK$398pp premium free-flow, HK$220 classic free-flow, kids under 12 eat free) with a range of tempting starters followed by a choice of burger, rotisserie chicken, crispy salmon bowl, USDA prime ribeye, Argentinian grass-fed black Angus Wellington and much more. And not to be forgotten, the all-you-can-enjoy chocolate buffet!

Hong Kong Easter 2023 – Tsim Sha Tsui & West Kowloon

Just a short ride on the Star Ferry or a quick trip on the MTR from Hong Kong Island and you’ll find yourself in the always-buzzing Tsim Sha Tsui commercial and entertainment district or the up-and-coming West Kowloon cultural district. Must-visits on this side of Victoria Harbour include the new M+ Museum showcasing some of the world’s foremost collections of 20th- and 21st-century visual culture. The Herzog & de Meuron-designed building and surrounding outdoor spaces are worth a visit even on their own.

After admiring the architecture, budding builders should definitely check out Legoland Discovery Centre. The ultimate Lego indoor playground is designed for children ages 3-10 and features workshops, play areas and even Hong Kong’s top attractions built out of bricks. Finally, burn off any residual energy at Kids Kids Car indoor electric-vehicle driving playground. The 20,000 sq ft space has three different themed zones where kids can zoom around and even experience various occupations.

Cap off your Kowloon adventures at neighbourhood Italian spot Pici, which from 5–10 April 2023 is offering two limited-time additions to everyone’s favourite pasta bar brunch. The new specials are available all day and include the lavish Truffle Carbonara (HK$190), a tagliatelle with black truffle, guanciale, pecorino and Japanese egg yolk; and the Coppa Malu (HK$140) a velvety mousse dessert for two made with 70% chocolate, whipped cream and almond meringue. The famous, much-loved Italian treats are available all around the city, with more branches in Lai Chi Kok, Sha Tin in the New Territories but also buzzing Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, and Central amongst other prime locations.

Another must-try Italian Easter dining destination for the whole family is The Pizza Project in Central – check out the two limited-time specials: Down the Rabbit Hole (HK$160), a pizza with a red hot chili cheddar stuffed crust, testa di coppa, black garlic pesto and fior di latte; and Bu-Nana (HK$65), a sweet treat consisting of banana and chocolate ganache stuffed gnocco fritto, dusted with icing sugar.

Hong Kong Easter 2023 – Stanley

Tired of the hustle and bustle of the city? Let’s head over to Stanley for a lovely seaside stroll with your little ones. The Stanley Bay promenade is a picturesque boardwalk overlooking all the small boats parked at the bay – this is a scene you can’t find in other parts of Hong Kong. With a backdrop of colonial heritage buildings, lots of locals come here to walk their pets and enjoy a peaceful afternoon.

Looking for a seaside cafe to enjoy the view? Pirata has got you covered! Located on Stanley Main Street, Pane e Latte will celebrate Easter with spring specials across three weekends from 1–16 April. Feast on Bomboloni al Torroncino (HK$48), a nougat cream-filled doughnut covered in chocolate couverture; the Gnocchi di Pasqua (HK$158), a dish featuring spring vegetables, ricotta and poached eggs; and the Easter Egg (HK$78), a sweet treat made with lemon madeleine, strawberry jam and fromage blanc. A giant, eye-catching Easter basket and eggs will also be installed at the bakery for the ultimate holiday experience.

90 Adorable Animals Sculptures Now At Cracking Art, Harbour City

In 2023, Harbour City opens its doors to more international art communities to satisfy all art lovers! The first art project partners with the renowned Italian Cracking Art group, who will host its first eco-public art exhibition in Hong Kong on their 30th anniversary. From 31 January to 28 February, over 90 animal sculptures made from regenerated plastic will be on display across 8 different locations in Harbour City, indoors and out, from Ocean Terminal Forecourt to Ocean Terminal Deck, Seaview Balcony in Ocean Centre and more. These vibrant installations certainly shine a light on the bustling shopping mall.

Placing eye-catching animal sculptures in busy international cities, Cracking Art aims to arouse people’s attention to the intense relationship between nature and artificial plastic through public art and inspire a community-wide conversation about the importance of recycling. What’s more, each design is conceived as a symbolic message about the species itself and our relationship with nature. For example, Beagle is the unfortunate dog breed which has been picked for animal testing; Penguin has been the great sufferer of global warming; while the Crocodile and Sea Turtle are two of the oldest creatures on Earth.

  • Hop On To Hong Kong Luckiest Spots In The Year Of The Rabbit

Hop On To Hong Kong Luckiest Spots In The Year Of The Rabbit

Now that Asia’s World City is ready to welcome international visitors again, it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year in true Hong Kong style. After all, nowhere blends time-honoured CNY traditions with modern energy quite like this buzzing metropolis. In honour of the Year of the Rabbit, here are five of Hong Kong’s most fortuitous experiences to fill your year with good luck, health and prosperity.

    1. Take Instagrammable Photos with the ‘Lucky Rabbit’

As the traditional colour of CNY, red is believed to boost one’s fortune! Don a new lucky red T-shirt, a red cheongsam dress or a Tang suit, then head to Hong Kong’s festive displays to take epic shots for the Year of Rabbit.

Brought to you by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, a series of dazzling CNY checkpoints have transformed the harbourfront. For starters, a giant Lucky Rabbit is making its debut on the roof of the Central Pier. Visitors will also discover more hoppin’ displays – each with mesmerising themes, lights, music, and interactive elements – at Admiralty’s Tamar Park, the Wan Chai Temporary Promenade and Tsim Sha Tsui’s Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

    Fortune Around Hong Kong

    19 Jan – 5 Feb 2023 | Across Victoria Harbourfront

    2. Hop On Auspicious Harbour Tours

On the first day of CNY, it’s customary to usher in luck and prosperity by spending time outdoors. Visitors can embrace the tradition with a scenic Victoria Harbour cruise aboard a historic Star Ferry. Along the way, try to catch the Lucky Rabbit hiding on the ferry! Accrue more good fortune by exploring the CNY-themed harbourfront checkpoints in different ways, like a sightseeing tour on the antique Dukling junk boat or a pedal-boating adventure at the Wan Chai Water Sports and Recreation Precinct.

    3. Experience Unique Hong Kong CNY Traditions

The Year of the Rabbit marks the return of many authentic Hong Kong CNY customs for visitors to enjoy! Among the must-try experiences, head to the Chinese New Year flower markets for festive shopping and take in good fortune as blooms signify wealth in Chinese culture.

Besides, stock up on luck at the CNY Raceday in Sha Tin, where epic horseraces, lion dance performances and holiday décor await. The energised activity can definitely bring you a lucky start of the year with full power!

The Hong Kong Well-Wishing Festival in Lam Tsuen is another age-old CNY tradition. Simply jot down wishes on a notecard, tie it to a mandarin and toss it into a legendary tree. If the fruit catches a branch, the wishes may come true.

    Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival

22 Jan – 5 Feb 2023 | Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree, Tai Po

    4. Indulge in Classic Dishes with Modern Twists

A time for connection, Chinese New Year brings families together over delicious meals symbolising longevity, fortune and wealth. Year after year, Hong Kong restaurants reinvigorate traditional CNY dishes with fresh ideas.

This year, Green Common has reinvented poon choi (or “prosperity stew” made with meat, seafood and veggies) using only plant-based meat alongside vegetarian ingredients. Meanwhile, Häagen-Dazs has transformed traditional nin gou (a sticky rice cake representing prosperity) into a CNY ice cream cake, which also comes with another option of Chinese candy box (named chuen hup in Cantonese meaning togetherness and perfection).

    5. Give Creative Gifts of Good Fortune

Throughout CNY, Hong Kong people bring gifts to family gatherings to spread goodwill and fortune with loved ones. Putting a spin on tradition, Dang Wen Li by Dominique Ansel bakery has crafted mochi buns in the shape of mandarins – a symbol of good fortune – alongside gift box brimming with sweet delicacies, which features a centrepiece decoration of cute rabbit performing lion dance. On the other hand, The Cakery is whipping up adorable rabbit-themed fondant cookies that are perfect for CNY.

  • Rain Celebrates Christmas & Launched Hong Kong WinterFest

Rain Celebrates Christmas & Launched Hong Kong WinterFest

In this festive month of the year, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) invited Korean superstar Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) to spend the Christmas holiday in Hong Kong and to be the honorary guest for the lighting ceremony at the spectacular Christmas Wonderland of “Hong Kong WinterFest”. Hong Kong is ready to welcome global visitors back to the city and the HKTB is glad to have Rain at this special time of the year. As much as his fans miss him, Rain has missed Hong Kong and its diverse food culture, which never fails to surprise him.

He said, “I’m delighted to be back in Hong Kong, after my last visit in 2019, and to be welcomed by the city. I’m looking forward to trying as many of the local delicacies as I can and enjoying the amazing views, while soaking in the festive spirit and joy of Christmas.”

Rain has experienced Hong Kong’s unique offerings from every angle, from its unforgettable local cuisine to the stunning skyline and breath-taking landscapes.

    Unforgettable Local Cuisine

Rain says that Hong Kong is a food paradise and that he knows that no trip to Hong Kong is complete without trying dim sum, so his first stop in Hong Kong was enjoying dim sum at a Michelin Cantonese restaurant. He also walked through the West Kowloon neighbourhood, where he enjoyed “typhoon shelter-style fried crab” at a local authentic eatery.

Taking A Scenic Ride On The New Generation Peak Tram

As Hong Kong debuted the 6th Generation Peak Tram recently, Rain took the opportunity to ride on the new generation tram up to the Peak, where he enjoyed the beautiful views of Victoria Harbour and its surroundings, as well as local street snack egg waffle, both of which he never gets tired of.

Rain Joins The Christmas Town Lighting Ceremony

On 23 December, Rain paid a special visit to the lighting ceremony at Hong Kong WinterFest’s Christmas Wonderland as the honorary guest and rang in Christmas with the people in Hong Kong. As a traveller, Rain expressed his warm feelings about the trip and sent heartfelt blessings to the people of Hong Kong.
