Resorts World Langkawi Malaysia – Tropical Paradise In Andaman Sea

Langkawi, or also popularly called the Jewel of Kedah Malaysia is an archipelago which consists of 104 islands. Langkawi attained its World Geopark status from UNESCO on 1st June 2007. While Langkawi is famed for its excellent diving opportunities, it also offers a treasure trove of other exciting attractions. If you are planning to visit, you must stay at Resorts World Langkawi Malaysia to fully enjoy this tropical paradise in the Andaman Sea. Enough said, let’s follow Ivan as he introduces some of the best things to do when in Langkawi!

    Resorts World Langkawi

Located in the tropical paradise of the Andaman Sea, Resorts World Langkawi is just a 25 minutes drive from the airport and offers free shuttle service into Cenang Town. The journey is just a 10-minute drive away and they drop you off right at the Cenang Mall or anywhere near your preferred activity.

The resort has been meticulous with the upgrading their suites, rooms and facilities. You can now choose from a wide category of rooms for one that best suit your budgets. Our favourites are their Seaview accommodations and do remember to request for their new rooms when you make your booking.

At Resorts World Langkawi, you have a total of three dining options, Seagull Coffeehouse is where you will have your breakfast, Zest offers an outdoor BBQ buffet and lastly but not least grab casual drinks at the Lobby Lounge.

If you are having your breakfast near the sea, try throwing some bread crumbs in the water for a little surprise.

Resorts World Langkawi – Sunset Cruise

Resorts World Langkawi also offers a cruise ride for you to party as you watch the sunset. This cruise sets off at 5pm daily to the open ocean for you to enjoy the beautiful Jewel of Kedah. Seat back and enjoy the warm sea breeze and soothing sounds of the waves lapping against the boat. On the boat, there will be a professionally trained life guards as well as a photographer to help capture those picture perfect moments. There are a few activities onboard the boat for you to try out while waiting for the sun to set.

Fancy a dip in the open waters?

Else you can also consider soaking yourself in the Salt Water Jacuzzi!

Chilling out in the waters and jumping about in open waters is sure to make you hungry. The thoughtful folks on the cruise also prepared a gourmet barbeque feast with fresh seafood, chicken, satay as well as various Asian and western styles dishes.

After your meal, just quietly savour the view of the sea and get lost in her rhythmic percussion of waves. Keep your focus on the horizon as the mighty sun embraces the waters good night – sending out a symphony of orange and pink hues across the sky.

As it gets dark, feel free to choose from the wide selection of beer, wine, liquor, cocktails and fruit juices, or sip Pina Colada while dancing to the music as the ship takes a slow ride back to port.

Resorts World Langkawi  – Mangrove River Tour

Kilim Geoforest Park, home to a mangrove forest covering over 100 sq. km, this park is made out of beautiful blue lagoons, mangrove forests and white Langkawi beaches.

There are a few major highlights on this tour and one of them is feeding the wild fishes. The common name of these black and yellow stripped fishes is “Sergeant Major”. Even though their nibbles don’t hurt still be careful when feeding them.

One of the two pit stops in this tour will be at the fish farms. There is a place for you to buy some drinks and activates like fish feeding and a short tour of the various life that lives in the river.

Now the gem of the tour is none other than eagle watching. The boat will stop at a special place for you to watch these eagles as they dive down to catch their prey. Sapping a photo of these mighty birds will be tricky as they are fast.

The last stop of the tour will be lunch at a floating restaurant, where you will get to savour a scrumptious meal made for you by the locals.

If you plan to visit Langkawi, make sure to go on a mangrove tour! At only RM108 you will get an experience like none other.

Resorts World Langkawi – Night Markets

Langkawi has fabulous night markets every evening at various locations around the island. From Resorts World Langkawi, you simply need to tell the reception at the lobby that you going to Cenang Town night market and they will arrange a free transport there for you. You will be able to find not only many duty-free shops around but also delicious local food and many things for you to buy. There are massage parlours at almost every turn and hidden gems if you walk further to find them. Remember it is just 10-minutes away from Resorts World Langkawi.

Resorts World Langkawi – Catching the Sunrise

One of the things you must defiantly do before leaving is catching the sunrise. Be sure to wake up at 645am to watch the yellow Jewel rise from the horizon painting the skyline from blue to a radiant white. Take a moment to lose yourself in the silent beauty as the islands come to life.

We hope we have given you a good idea of some of the best things to do when in Resorts World Langkawi, Malaysia. Do share with us your other recommendations in the comments section too! This article was contributed by Ivannavich

Legoland® Star Wars Days 2017 – Biggest 40th Anniversary Celebration In Region

As eager fans around the world anticipate the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope, LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort announced the biggest LEGO® Star Wars Days celebrations in the region. In conjunction with the resort’s 5th anniversary, the LEGO® Star Wars Days 2017 will run over the course of 34 days and across five weekends from 28 April to 31 May 2017 with a variety of exciting and entertaining daily activities for the whole family!

Hosting a special sneak preview of the celebration in Singapore, here are 10 reasons you should mark your calendar and bring your family to LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort for the most awesome galactic getaway of the year:

    1. Immerse Yourself in the Epic Battles through LEGO® Star Wars Miniland ‘Live’

The largest LEGO® Star Wars MINILAND Model Display is the only one-of-its-kind in Asia, where models are built with over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks. The exhibit is made up of seven rooms, depicting scenes from each Star Wars movie, in chronological order. In LEGO® Star Wars Live, guests can look forward to the most avid storytelling experience at LEGO® Star Wars Miniland with the Model Citizens who are specially dressed in Star Wars costumes.

    2. Join the Largest Imperial March in the Region (13 & 14 May only)

Over 100 Star Wars characters marching down the streets of LEGOLAND® Malaysia is definitely a sight to see. But what if you could be a part of it? The Imperial March will be led by the most devout fans of the Star Wars universe – 501st Legion and Rebel Legion – setting up an intense clash of the dark and light side. What is truly remarkable is that guests have a once in a lifetime chance to make a true memory by participating in the huge march as well!

    3. Take a Picture with Our Dancing Stormtroopers

Put your shoes on as you’ll find dancing Stormtroopers and Star Wars characters around the park. The cutest Dark Lord himself, LEGO® Darth Vader, will make special appearances, so be sure to take a picture with him if (and it’s a big if!) you get the chance to. Also, look forward to endless photo opportunities with Star Wars characters including Jedi, Storm Troopers and Princess Leia, starting from 29 April and for subsequent weekends.

    4. Honour the Toughest Princess in a Galaxy Far, Far Away

LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort will be hosting a commemorative session to honour the People’s Princess – the toughest galactic princess ever.

    5. Dig Deep into Your Star Wars Memory Chest at the Star Wars Trivia Hunt

Prove your Star Wars worth by embarking on an epic Star Wars scavenger hunt in LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort to solve our special quiz.

    6. Spot the Stormtrooper

    7. Become the Jedi Warrior of Your Dreams in Jedi Academy

This should be everyone’s dream. You’ll get your chance at LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort. Let our Master Jedis train you to master the force at the Jedi Academy. Young Padawans who prove their skills and master the Force will be presented with an awesome LEGOLAND® Jedi Academy Certificate.

    8. Be a Star Wars Jetsetter with Our LEGOLAND® Star Wars Passport

The passport will be given to all of our younger guests, who can collect stamps from all LEGO® Star Wars Days activities such as giant R2-D2 build, Star Wars World build, Trivia Hunt, Jedi Academy and Speed Building competition.
