This SG60, Carousel at Royal Plaza on Scotts is serving up a celebration you can taste. From 4 July to 10 August 2025, the award-winning buffet restaurant is bringing together over 30 new dishes that honour the textures, aromas and stories of Singapore’s rich culinary heritage. Titled “Local Colours, Local Flavours”, this special edition buffet features seven standout co-creations with iconic local brands—each a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s past, present, and palate.
At the heart of this SG60 showcase is a series of inventive dishes that pair culinary craft with Singapore’s most recognisable food brands. These collaborative creations are steeped in nostalgia, yet boldly reimagined for today’s table:
From truffle accents to XO-rich umami, these dishes celebrate the evolution of local tastes while honouring the food memories that shaped a generation.
“These new creations reflect shared memories, crafted with love and pride,” says Dharmik Kumar, General Manager of Royal Plaza on Scotts. “It’s our chefs’ way of celebrating the flavours we grew up with—now refreshed for SG60.”
Guests can also sip on Kim Guan Guan’s heritage kopi and teh, freshly brewed and served at the restaurant throughout the celebration period, because no Singaporean buffet is complete without a strong local brew.
Carousel isn’t stopping at the buffet. A series of SG60 ‘Stay and Dine’ promotions are rolling out for both locals and visitors:
To round off the experience, guests can strike a pose at the vibrant SG60 photo wall and post with the hashtags #SG60WithRP and #SG60WithCarousel. Every shared moment earns a complimentary cupcake as a sweet finale to your feast. =
With food as its canvas, Carousel’s Local Colours, Local Flavours honours the diversity and dynamism of Singaporean cuisine. Whether it’s your first time trying chilli crab popiah or your fiftieth, this SG60 celebration promises new stories, new bites, and new memories—made together over a shared table.
