I had the absolute pleasure of attending the gala night of WICKED The Musical at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands — and even as someone who has seen it multiple times both in Singapore and London’s West End, this latest production amazed me. The advancements in stage design, lighting, and technology were spectacular, creating an immersive experience that elevated every scene. From the opening moments, I was captivated by the enriched set designs and how the technology-enhanced iconic moments like Elphaba’s powerful Defying Gravity. These improvements brought new life to every scene and showcased how far theatre production has come since I first watched WICKED years ago.

From 19 March to 27 April 2025, Black Tap serves up two limited-edition CrazyShakes:

• For Good CrazyShake (S$28++): A strawberry swirl milkshake with a vanilla frosted rim, pink and white pearl sprinkles, whipped cream, pink and white cotton candy, rock candy, and a chocolate-coated cake pop crowned with a chocolate crown — a tribute to Glinda.
