Seasonal Tastes Reopens At The Westin Singapore

Share Article

Some buffet memories stay with you long after the meal ends, and for me, Seasonal Tastes at The Westin Singapore has always been one of them. I still remember my first visit years ago, when the fresh seafood spread left such a strong impression that it became the first thing I associated with the restaurant. Now, after its complete transformation and reopening on Level 32 of Asia Square Tower 2, Seasonal Tastes has done it again, bringing back that same sense of abundance with fresh lobsters, easy-to-enjoy crab claws, salmon, octopus, succulent roasts, local favourites and sweeping views of Marina Bay and the South China Sea.

A Familiar Favourite, Beautifully Reimagined

The Westin Singapore reopened Seasonal Tastes on 27 August 2026, marking a renewed chapter for its all-day dining destination. The refreshed restaurant returns with a market-fresh approach to international buffet dining, guided by Westin’s Eat Well philosophy and set against one of the most striking dining backdrops in the city.

Located on Level 32 of The Westin Singapore at 12 Marina View, Asia Square Tower 2, Singapore 018961, Seasonal Tastes now feels brighter, more contemporary and more intentional. The restaurant remains familiar to those who have loved it over the years, but the overall experience feels more polished, more generous and more in tune with how you want to dine today.

The Seafood Still Steals The Show

For me, the seafood was the first thing I looked out for, partly because it was what made my very first Seasonal Tastes experience so memorable years ago. I was genuinely happy to find that this part of the buffet still delivers beautifully. The fresh lobsters immediately caught my attention, while the crab claws made it easy to enjoy the sweetness of the seafood without too much effort.

The salmon and octopus added to the sense of variety, giving the seafood counter that satisfying feeling of choice that makes a buffet worth returning to. What I appreciated most was not just that there was seafood, but that the selection felt abundant and inviting. It reminded me why Seasonal Tastes left such a lasting impression on me the first time.

Alongside the seafood, the refreshed buffet also offers succulent roast specialities and a broad selection of international dishes, with the menu rotating seasonally to reflect the freshest produce available. This gives the restaurant a sense of movement, so the experience feels less fixed and more responsive to the season.

A Meaningful Taste Of Singapore Heritage

One of the most thoughtful additions to the refreshed Seasonal Tastes is its partnership with Kway Guan Huat Joo Chiat Popiah, the multi-generation family business that has been handmaking popiah skins in Singapore since 1938. As part of the restaurant’s local favourites section, you can now experience this heritage dish freshly prepared within the buffet setting.

This detail matters because it gives the international buffet a stronger sense of place. It is easy for hotel buffets to feel global but slightly generic. By bringing in Kway Guan Huat Joo Chiat Popiah, Seasonal Tastes anchors part of the experience in Singapore’s hawker heritage, allowing you to enjoy something familiar, handcrafted and culturally meaningful high above the city.

Sweet Endings With Dove Desserts

The dessert counter has also been given its own moment. Seasonal Tastes’ in-house patisserie selection offers a line-up of baked goods, including the signature New York Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce, available daily at both lunch and dinner.

The experience is complemented by sweet creations from Dove Desserts, adding another layer of indulgence to the buffet. After a generous seafood and roast selection, it is the kind of dessert offering that encourages you to slow down, linger a little longer and end the meal on a polished note.

A S$3 Million Transformation

The reopening follows a S$3 million investment into the restaurant. James Walkden, General Manager of The Westin Singapore, shared that the investment has completely transformed Seasonal Tastes into a contemporary and vibrant dining destination that reflects evolving expectations while reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to excellence.

He also shared that the elevated international buffet has been thoughtfully curated to offer an even broader selection of flavours from around the world, while continuing to celebrate some of Singapore’s most iconic dishes. After experiencing the refreshed restaurant for myself, that balance feels clear. Seasonal Tastes offers the pleasure of variety, but it does not forget the local touches that make the meal feel connected to Singapore.

Final Thoughts

What I enjoyed most about the refreshed Seasonal Tastes was the wide selection and the way it brought back the same excitement I felt during my first visit years ago. The seafood was once again the highlight for me, especially the fresh lobsters, crab claws, salmon and octopus, but the experience now feels fuller with its local heritage collaboration, dessert partnerships, wellness framing and Level 32 views.

If you have fond memories of Seasonal Tastes, the refreshed restaurant is worth revisiting. If you are discovering it for the first time, come for the seafood, stay for the view, and allow the meal to unfold slowly above Marina Bay.
