From 12 December 2025 to 22 February 2026, the National Museum of Singapore will host the international debut of the SKULLPANDA CAGE-UNCAGE Showcase, a large-scale immersive experience created by POP MART in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board and Chinese artist Xiong Miao. This exhibition marks SKULLPANDA’s first appearance on such a significant global stage, inviting visitors to explore a world of duality, identity and emotional depth through striking installations and three-dimensional storytelling.

A Journey Through Six Thematic Worlds

The CAGE UNCAGE Showcase is presented across six interconnected zones that explore SKULLPANDA’s inner universe. Each space blends sculpture, sound, texture and atmospheric light to evoke the complex emotions that define the character. The experience moves between quiet contemplation and bold expression, allowing guests to interpret the symbolism in their own way. SKULLPANDA’s evolution is reflected through detailed scenes that express vulnerability, strength, confinement and release. Visitors are encouraged to move slowly through the showcase, taking in the layers of feeling that shape the character’s narrative.

Created by artist Xiong Miao, SKULLPANDA has long stood out in the global art toy scene for its introspective storytelling, architectural aesthetics and sculptural presence. This exhibition brings those qualities to life on a theatrical scale. Each installation features textures and forms inspired by the designer’s signature style, offering fans an opportunity to encounter SKULLPANDA beyond the limits of collectible figurines.

    An Exclusive Singapore Installation

For its premiere in Singapore, the showcase features a specially created installation that pays tribute to the country’s cultural landscape. This one of a kind piece takes SKULLPANDA into a setting inspired by reinterpretations of Singapore’s urban motifs. Designed exclusively for this stop, the work invites viewers to consider how identity shifts and expands with place, memory and movement. It is a thoughtful addition that adds local resonance to the broader exhibition.

POP MART and the Rise of Designer Art

The exhibition is part of POP MART’s continued commitment to expanding designer art culture for global audiences. The brand has played an important role in elevating art toys into a recognised art form, working closely with creators like Xiong Miao to bring their concepts to life through exhibitions, sculptures and collectable works. With CAGE UNCAGE, POP MART and the National Museum of Singapore showcase the growing influence of contemporary pop art across Asia and beyond.

Cultural Collaboration with National Museum of Singapore

Hosting the international premiere reflects the National Museum’s ongoing efforts to bring fresh cultural experiences to Singapore. The partnership introduces an entirely new audience to the world of contemporary sculpture and character based art. Through this collaboration, museum visitors are invited to explore modern expressions of emotion, identity and artistic craft through SKULLPANDA’s lens.

Step Into Demon Slayer Total Concentration Exhibition Singapore

Fans of Demon Slayer can look forward to an extraordinary experience in 2026 when the largest version of the Demon Slayer Total Concentration Exhibition opens in Singapore from 24 January to 15 March. Set within a sprawling 21,000-square-foot space at the former Singapore Sports Hub Library, this is the exhibition’s only Southeast Asian stop for the year, bringing together life-sized environments, immersive installations, exclusive Singapore character artwork by Ufotable, and detailed recreations of iconic locations from the anime. The showcase arrives during a period of strong local enthusiasm, following the success of the Mugen Train film in Singapore and last year’s Infinity Castle premiere, which featured a red-carpet appearance by the voice of Giyu Tomioka, Takahiro Sakurai.

Exclusive Singapore Chibi Artwork by Ufotable

One of the most anticipated elements of this edition is a collection of Singapore-exclusive chibi character designs created by Ufotable. These illustrations feature well-loved characters placed against familiar Singapore landmarks, offering fans a rare set of visuals that can be found only at this exhibition. The designs will also be available for purchase at the official merchandise zone.

A Multi-Sensory Journey Through the Demon Slayer Universe

The entire experience has been designed as a 45-minute walkthrough that recreates pivotal moments from the anime in vivid detail. Visitors begin their journey at Mount Fujikasane, a serene recreation of the Final Selection grounds framed with wisteria blooms. The route then leads into the Demon Slayer Headquarters, where organisational charts, Nichirin Swords, quotes and character profiles help outline the structure and spirit of the Corps.

The energy intensifies at the House of Demons, which draws inspiration from Muzan Kibutsuji’s Infinity Castle. Special visual mechanisms create an unsettling atmosphere that gives fans the sensation of being surrounded by demons hiding in the shadows. The exhibition continues with a striking showcase inspired by the Battle of Mount Natagumo, featuring original illustrations of key combat moments and a dedicated Water Breathing themed photo corner for dramatic poses.

A standout highlight is the Mugen Train installation, where visitors can enter life-sized train carriages recreated from the record-breaking film. This zone allows guests to relive memorable scenes featuring Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku. A change of mood follows with the Kimetsu Academy zone, a playful reimagining of the cast in modern school uniforms filled with humour and charm.

The journey concludes with a section inspired by Infiltrating the Entertainment District. Fans can expect hidden details, clever peek through panels and small delightful surprises such as the Muscle Mice making an appearance for photos.

  • Moutarde By Chef Paul Pairet: French Bistro With Heart, Craft & Comfort

Moutarde By Chef Paul Pairet: French Bistro With Heart, Craft & Comfort

WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa has welcomed two new neighbours. Moutarde, a relaxed French bistro created by world-renowned Chef Paul Pairet, and Sundae Royale, his nostalgic soft serve parlour. For many, this marks the long-awaited arrival of one of France’s most influential chefs, whose three Michelin-starred restaurant Ultraviolet continues to be hailed as one of the most innovative dining concepts in the world. Moutarde offers a soulful, convivial way to enjoy French cooking with charm and personality, while Sundae Royale introduces a playful menu of freshly churned soft serves and nostalgic desserts. Together, they create a lively gateway into Pairet’s culinary philosophy shaped by precision, quality and joy.

A Bistro Built on Warmth and Everyday French Pleasure

Moutarde has been designed as an inviting modern bistro where good food and relaxed conversations take centre stage. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, encouraging guests to linger over long lunches, celebratory dinners or spontaneous meals. The menu reflects the soul of French comfort cooking, expressed through Chef Pairet’s refined technique and thoughtful simplicity. The space feels alive with the bustle of service, the glow of warm lighting and the sense of conviviality that defines classic bistro culture.

    The Signature Live Carvery

At the heart of Moutarde is its dramatic live carvery station, inspired by Chef Pairet’s early memories of British carving trolleys from the 1990s. Here, chefs prepare whole large cuts such as Australian Prime Rib, New Zealand Lamb Leg and XXL Turbot, aged in an impressive glass maturation room before being slow-roasted, steamed, braised or grilled. Each cut is carved to order beside the wood-fired oven and served with freshly made mustards and condiments. The selection rotates daily, giving guests a different experience with each visit.

Four Dining Styles Across the Week

Moutarde offers Weekend Brunch, Lunch, Afternoon and Dinner, each showcasing variations of the full menu. Meals begin with generous table sharing, featuring eggs mayonnaise, grilled piquillos, freshly prepared tarama, pâté de campagne, charcuterie and warm sourdough. Starters such as cheese soufflé, charred leeks, rostbif carpaccio, salade parisienne and oysters set the tone before larger plates arrive.

The main menu highlights comforting favourites including beef tartare tradition, minute steak frites, grilled lamb chops with aïoli, grilled seabass vierge with pastis aïoli, grilled salmon béarnaise and rôtisserie chicken. Dessert lovers will enjoy praliné soufflé, real French toast with soft serve, grapefruit and pomelo or mango earl granité, alongside French classics such as chocolat liégeois and pistachio cherries.

    An Award-Winning Wine Programme

To complement the bistro’s warm spirit, Chef Pairet has partnered with celebrated sommelier Xavier Thuizat, recipient of titles including Best Sommelier of France, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and the Michelin Guide Sommelier Award. The wine programme blends expertise with approachability, offering a curated cellar together with a wine tap wall and tanks for wine served by the carafe. Classic and creative cocktails are available as well. Thuizat’s selection highlights both young French producers and heritage vineyards, adding character and balance to the dining experience.

Sundae Royale: A Soft Serve Parlour Filled with Nostalgia

Adjacent to Moutarde is Sundae Royale, a charming dessert counter that channels the joy of childhood treats. All soft serve mixes are freshly made daily using Chef Pairet’s original recipes. The menu features Simple Sundaes, Sundaes Liégeois with house made Chantilly and Sundaes Crunch. Flavours include caramel butter soy ice cream, pistachio cherry, mango raspberry melba, chocolate liégeois and strawberry trifle.

You can also enjoy real French toast with soft serve, warm churros and pastries, supported by a French café inspired coffee menu.

A Culinary Team with International Depth

Supporting both concepts is a team shaped by long-standing experience with Chef Pairet. Executive Chef Greg Robinson has worked alongside Pairet for nearly twenty years and played a central role in developing Ultraviolet. Singaporean Chef de Cuisine Glen Tay brings five years of experience from Ultraviolet and shares pride in bringing this new project to his home city. Chef de Cuisine Daniel Lam adds global depth through his background in San Francisco, China and Macau, blending technique with a flair for theatrical presentation.

    Opening Hours and Reservations

Moutarde opens from 21 November 2025. From Monday to Thursday, lunch runs from 11.30am to 3.00pm and dinner from 6.00pm to 10.00pm. • Loca Niru Singapore: Fine Dining Opens In House Of Tan Yeok Nee

Loca Niru Singapore: Fine Dining Opens In House Of Tan Yeok Nee

Tucked away on the upper floor of the 140-year-old House of Tan Yeok Nee, Singapore’s last remaining Teochew-style mansion, Loca Niru is a restaurant like no other. Opening its doors on 6 November 2025, this contemporary fine dining destination by Gaia Lifestyle Group is more than just a new table to book, it is an invitation to pause, reflect, and rediscover the meaning of refined hospitality. At the helm is Chef Shusuke Kubota (affectionately known as Chef Shu), whose quiet conviction and deep respect for produce breathe life into what he calls Contemporary Innovative cuisine, a thoughtful intersection of Japanese sensibility, French precision, and Southeast Asian soul.

A Historic Monument Reborn as a Dining Sanctuary

Originally built in 1885, the House of Tan Yeok Nee was once the residence of a Teochew tycoon and is now a gazetted national monument. Loca Niru marks the first time in 140 years that the upper level of the house is being opened to the public — and it does so with respectful restraint. Many original architectural elements remain, from wooden truss ceilings to intricately carved details that whisper stories of Singapore’s past.

The name Loca Niru draws inspiration from Zen idioms: a white swan or horse disappearing into a field of white reeds. The metaphor is clear: harmony, humility, and subtle integration. These values guide every aspect of the restaurant’s design and philosophy, embodying the Japanese principle of Kotan (こたん): quiet simplicity, contemplative peace, and elegant restraint.

Cuisine Rooted in Heritage, Expressed Through Innovation

Loca Niru’s tasting menu (8 courses at S$298++) is a slow, sensory journey — each dish designed not just to impress, but to connect. Chef Shu, trained in Japan, France, and Southeast Asia, draws on his global experience to honour the origins of every ingredient. His philosophy? “One must learn from the past to create the future.”

Take Oyasai, a delicate steamed dumpling filled with stir-fried Malaysian vegetables, a gentle nod to regional simplicity. Or Isaki, a pan-seared Japanese grunt fish elevated with Nyonya beurre blanc, illustrates the chef’s unique layering of cultures and technique.

Each course balances Japanese restraint with French craft, respecting the natural form and flavour of produce, whether sourced from Japan, Europe, or local growers across Southeast Asia.

A Beverage Program Designed for Harmony

The beverage menu reflects the same thoughtful curation. Diners can choose between six-glass sake or wine pairings (S$188++ each), with selections chosen to gently complement each dish. Highlights include a Junmai Ginjo sake from Nagano which is Chef Shu’s hometown and expressive wines spanning both classic and emerging terroirs.

A concise but intelligent list of wines and champagnes is also available by the bottle or glass for those seeking a more personalised journey.

    Design That Echoes Its Philosophy

Loca Niru’s interiors are a study in contrast and balance. Natural woods meet brushed brass. Antique patinas sit comfortably alongside minimalist lines. It is neither overly traditional nor blindly modern — instead, it honours both, just as the cuisine does.

The 36-seat restaurant includes a 12-seat counter, 12-seat main dining hall, and two private rooms for more intimate experiences. The open kitchen fosters a subtle connection between guest and chef, while the service is attentive yet unobtrusive, elevating storytelling into part of the meal. Anecdotes of the House, tales of ingredients, and chef’s personal reflections are shared in quiet confidence, making every visit feel meaningful.

    Visit Loca Niru

At Loca Niru, you are not just eating, you are inhabiting a moment where past and present converge, where every dish is a story, and every space whispers calm. Chef Shu’s vision is not to dazzle with excess, but to awaken the senses with humility, beauty, and the emotion of quiet mastery.

Address: House of Tan Yeok Nee, 101 Penang Road #02-01, Singapore 238466
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM (last seating 8:00 PM)
Closed: Sunday & Monday (Lunch to be introduced later)
    Reservations: Book here or call +65 6592 5815 / +65 8227 4313

Loca Niru opens this November, a rare chance to dine in a national monument and a quiet step forward for Singapore’s fine dining scene. This is Singapore fine dining in a new light, which is subtle, elegant, and emotionally resonant. A meal here is a meditation. A memory. A moment to carry with you.

  • Beatlemania On Tour: Full-Scale Tribute Concert At MBS Singapore

Beatlemania On Tour: Full-Scale Tribute Concert At MBS Singapore

There is something timeless about The Beatles. More than half a century since their global debut, the music of John, Paul, George, and Ringo continues to strike a chord across generations. And now, Singapore is getting a front-row seat to the phenomenon — as Beatlemania On Tour heads to the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands for a two-day concert event on 15 and 16 May 2026. Whether you grew up with the Beatles or discovered them on your parents’ vinyls, this live show is more than just a nostalgic throwback.

A Show That Goes Beyond Tribute

Beatlemania On Tour is not your average tribute act. This international concert experience goes to meticulous lengths to recreate the signature sound, energy, and stage presence of The Beatles in their prime. Expect period-authentic costumes, replica instruments, and vocals delivered in original keys — the kind of precision that makes you feel like you are right there at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, or in the middle of Shea Stadium’s roaring crowd.

The production’s attention to detail has won praise globally for its ability to capture not just the sound, but the spirit of Beatlemania — that electric connection between artist and audience, where every chord sparks memory and meaning. With lighting and set design styled after the Fab Four’s legendary tours, it is a show that honours the legacy while inviting new fans to experience it firsthand.

A Setlist That Sings Through the Years

One of the show’s most powerful elements is its song selection. The setlist reads like a love letter to The Beatles’ most iconic works — Hey Jude, Yesterday, All You Need Is Love, Let It Be, Twist & Shout, Blackbird, Help!, Come Together, Eleanor Rigby, Here Comes the Sun, and many more.

What makes these songs so enduring is how universal they feel. You do not need to know every lyric to get swept up in the energy of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da or to feel your chest swell when the crowd sings Love Me Do in unison. These songs do not just play — they live, breathe, and bring people to their feet, again and again.

Why It Still Matters in 2026

For Singapore, this concert is more than just entertainment. It is a tribute to the local connection the Beatles have shared with listeners here for decades. From the 1960s onward, local radio embraced hits like She Loves You and I Want to Hold Your Hand, shaping the early pop soundscape in Southeast Asia. Over the years, tribute bands have kept the spirit alive — but Beatlemania On Tour delivers it at full scale, with all the emotional punch of a live stadium show.

Venue: Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands

Early Bird Promos (Until 30 Nov):
    • 20% off for UOB Cardholders
    • 15% off for public across all categories

Beatlemania On Tour is not about impersonation. It is about invocation — bringing back the magic of a band whose music shaped the sound of a generation, and continues to echo across the decades. Whether you are a longtime fan or discovering The Beatles for the first time, this concert promises a night of connection, celebration, and unforgettable music. Come for the classics. Stay for the feeling. And let the music carry you back — or forward — to a time when four boys from Liverpool changed the world with a song.
