Taking place on every weekend from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, the elegant long bar transforms into a gastronomic line of unlimited English and Peranakan signatures, enhanced with live stations helmed by their chefs. Pan Pacific Singapore Nostalgic Weekend High Tea Buffet presents the perfect weekend indulgence for folks who love both Peranakan delights as well as English High Tea essentials.
Take a trip down memory lane with the nostalgic Peranakan signatures, alongside their chefs dishing out Nyonya highlights at the live stations.
For the traditionalists at heart, pop by their live stations serving Popiah with Sweet Turnips and Condiments and the hearty Pacific Lobster Laksa, a recipe created by their resident Nyonya Chef Nancy Teo. Not to be missed are all-time favourites – the D-I-Y Kueh Pie Tee and Nyonya Chicken Curry with French Baguette.
Apart from the classics, delve deeper into the Orient as their chefs infused Peranakan ingredients and spices into Peranakan Pork Sausage with Achar, Otah Quiche, Ayam Panggang Skewers and a special Dish of the Day to excite taste buds.
Of course, a Peranakan high tea is never complete without the colourful Nyonya Kueh, and their popular Pandan Gula Melaka Chiffon Cake, Heritage Coconut Scones with Kaya and Pineapple Jam, accompanied by the new Tart Blanc with Peach and Salted Yolk and Cantonese Sponge Cake with Salted Yolk that are sure to please.
Those who prefer a quintessentially English afternoon tea can look forward to a curated line- up of finger sandwiches, savouries and desserts that will leave you spoilt for choice.
Start with the savoury highlights including Roasted Beef and Apple Remoulade on Ciabatta, Norwegian Salmon and Fruit Puree on Malt Toast and Foie Gras Terrine and Fig Marmalade on Brioche.
Take a break from the sandwiches and go for the Mini Wagyu Beef Sliders or the Wild Mushroom and Cheese Quiche for a change. Round up the weekend high tea with a plethora of petite sweets ranging from the Matcha Yuzu Lychee Entremet, Araguani Hazelnut Royaltine Entremet, a special Cake of the Month, Homemade Bonbons to Raisin Scones.
The Nostalgic Weekend High Tea Buffet comes with two beverages of your choice. New additions to the beverage menu include two special cold brew teas – the Earl Grey infused with Orange and Cinnamon and Chamomile infused with Berries. For those who prefer the freshly brewed tea or coffee, pair the delectable canapés with a range of TWG teas or Lavazza coffee.
Their pastry team has prepared a series of chocolate accessories that incorporate the bright colours, intricate beading and rich embroidery to reflect the elements of the Peranakan culture. Put your best Little Nyonya (or Baba) foot forward with their gorgeous High Heels with Chocolate Truffles, inspired by the Peranakan beaded slippers, and A Gentleman’s Dress Shoe with Chocolate Truffles, or treat yourself with an edible arm candy, a chocolate handbag.
