A Stimulant by Sarnies Bangkok has finally brought Singapore’s famed A Stimulant by Sarnies (ASBS) house-roasted coffee beans and its café arm Sarnies to the Thai Capital. The caffeine experience has manifested in the form of a full in-house coffee roaster, alongside a cosy little coffee bar tucked in Sukhumvit Soi 39. Singaporeans heading to Bangkok for a quick getaway can now get the same quality coffee fix from Sarnies. The space includes a full roaster with a dedicated team of baristas from ASBS churning out freshly roasted beans every week.

Known for supplying wholesale coffee beans into food & beverage concepts, the team ensures that all coffee beans arrive fresh at the respective outlets with frequent small batch roasting and strict quality control. Blends available in Thailand include Picks & Shovels (Laos, Thailand and Brazil) and Costa Rica Carrizal Community – including coffee beans from Thailand in support of the locals.

ASBS was conceptualised by the founder of Sarnies in Singapore, Benjamin Lee. Sarnies, slang for sandwich, serves up hearty Aussie style grub throughout the day along with its signature coffee. A sandwich and a cup of coffee is a combination that goes perfectly, and it was important to maintain the consistency and quality of coffee served in his flagship café.

With that, Ben decided that bringing coffee roasting in-house was one of the best ways to do that, and eventually extended the coffee roasting into the full-fledged coffee arm of Sarnies that it is today.

The team has also expanded to provide wholesale coffee solutions for other establishments in Singapore and Bangkok, as well as a coffee consultancy service that includes everything from setting up coffee within the establishment, barista training, and machinery support.

For a taste of A Stimulant by Sarnies’ specialty roasted coffee, the coffee bar in Bangkok will be open to the public from Wednesdays to Sundays, 9am to 5pm. Coffee roasting will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the coffee shop will be closed.
