Licha Stelaus Productions is proud to present the internationally-acclaimed Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint Marc (The Saint Marc Children’s Choir). Saint Marc Children’s Choir Singapore will perform at the Victoria Concert Hall for two nights only on the 20th and 21st November 2018. You can look forward to beautiful renditions of Disney songs like “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King and even sing-along favourites for the young ones like “Let It Go” from Frozen. With songs performed in French, this is an excellent opportunity to expose children to a foreign language in a very fun way.

In addition to classical songs, the choristers will present several Oscar-winning Disney songs, and Christmas season favourites to you and your loved ones. The songs sung include “When You Wish Upon A Star” from Pinocchio, “Colours Of The Wind” from Pocahontas, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King and “Let It Go” from Frozen. While the melodies will certainly be familiar to most, the French lyrics add a different dimension in the enjoyment of the repertoires. The songs have been re-arranged with solos and beautiful harmonies to delight adults and children alike.

Saint Marc Children’s Choir Singapore – An Internationally-acclaimed French choir

With a repertoire varying widely from spiritual hymns to classical and contemporary music, The Saint Marc Children’s Choir is a musical delight for all families. Well known for singing in the Academy-award nominated movie “Les Choristes”, the choir from Lyon, France, has garnered an array of achievements in its Portfolio of Excellence. In addition, the choir is the Cultural Ambassador of Lyon and is also part of the French Federation of Little Singers, itself a part of the Fédération Internationale des Pueri Cantores.

The choristers at The Saint Marc Children’s Choir receive different kinds of training for the repertoires they sing. Apart from singing lessons, they also study music theory, learn the piano, and the second instrument of their choice. This comprehensive musical education provides all choristers with a deeper understanding of the music they perform, therefore delivering world-class musical and performance standards to their audiences.

Saint Marc Children’s Choir Singapore – Showcasing Singapore’s Musical Talent

Singapore’s very own Quek Jun Rui, a 17-year-old oboist currently studying at NUS Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, will be lending his musical talents to the performance, with beautiful melodies that harmonise perfectly with the choristers. For the first time, six songs will be performed using an oboe, piano and choral arrangement, showcasing Jun Rui’s musical expertise.
